Traditional links courses like those at Royal Dornoch and Nairn marry perfectly with the latest in course design at Castle Stuart, near Inverness which has hosted the Scottish Open.

Nearer to home, Inverness and the surrounding area has a selection of courses to tempt you with from Inverness GC, The Kings GC (which is literally just across the road from the Caravan Park) Nairn GC, Nairn Dunbar GC, Muir of Ord GC or Strathpeffer GC - some of a number of Highland golf courses that can easily justify their 'little gem' status.
A bit further North you have the world famous Royal Dornoch and Skibo Golf Clubs and slightly south you have Spey Valley, Kingussie, Grantown and Newtonmore.
